white owl was lucky enough to be featured on modish as part of their " eco-friendly finds with liz grotyohann" series.
liz is the founder of cosa verde, a beautifully curated eco-friendly site for handmade goods. what a great idea it is! and we are so glad to be involved! thank you liz!
the wonderfully talented andrea gutierrez of little big head sent us these goodies as part of a trade... aren't they the cutest postcards ever?
little red riding hoot postcards by little big head
andrea's illustrations are just so perfectly articulated and creative! i put one up in my house as a tiny piece of artwork and makes it me happy every time i look at it.

lacy leaf earrings and flora necklace by white owl
what could be a better way to start the weekend than a giveaway? my lovely friend melissa over at melissa loves is helping me do a giveaway - your choice of these earrings or this necklace... hooray! just pop over to her blog and describe your perfect summer day (my perfect summer day starts with a giveaway!)
so very recently, i noticed my creations taking a turn for the girly. could this be the effects of summer? the influence of lovely gardens and farmers markets and the cute baby bunnies running through my backyard? suddenly, i feel like tea parties and sundresses and a pretty necklace are just what i need.
o.k., so i know that this is silly, but i really want this dish from urban outfitters... the reason this is silly is because i have about a million little dishes to hold stuff and i have more than a few bird-themed items ... (o.k., a lot more than a few)
don't you just love it when you find something amazing and lovely from a bygone era? what could be cooler than a tiny brass abacus, (say it ten times really fast) that really works, (if you know how to count with an abacus that is). this one was combined with vintage brass chains... super cool.
i just found out my dining room is featured in a design blog ... how exciting! i'm flattered as heck, but now i'm thinking i do wish i had wallpaper after all. decisions, decisions...
i've decided to celebrate the coming of summer and the weekend... thus, the happy weekend sale! weekends are made for many fun things and sales just make them sweeter i think.
i've been experimenting with dyeing lace and coming up with some lovely results... i love the subtlety of greys and beige and pale petal soft colors and i've decided to add earrings to my etsy shop. i'm not sure whether more people are "earring people" or "necklace people", but i got crazy and made a lot of earrings in the last week. let's see how folks react to these pretties...
